Hi Folks,

Acts 19:2 Is KJV's rendering clear and accurate?
http://www.fundamentalforums.com/bi...9-2-is-kjvs-rendering-clear-and-accurate.html

Acts 19
1 And it came to pass, that,
while Apollos was at Corinth,
Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus:
and finding certain disciples,
2 He said unto them,
Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?
And they said unto him,
We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

There was a change of translation around 1850 to 'when you believed' in the modern versions, which is clearly an error, since the Greek text is an indefinite time. There have been fine defenses of the KJB text, which is the uniform Reformation Bible understanding, yet few have spoken bluntly and pointed out that the modern versions are simply mistaken translation Hopefully this thread will bring forth a change on that aspect.

Shalom,
Steven Avery
