Barnabas review

Before the period of the 1840s, very little Greek was published of Hermas or Barnabas. (I'll add the specific here.)

==========================

Historically, the Greek Hermas of Simonides, published a bit before the Greek Hermas of Simonides, was astutely referenced by James Anson Farrer:

"The coincidence seems almost more singular than can be accounted for by chance"

This was not an element that was particularly noted in the Simoindes debate of the early 1860s. However, toward the end of the public debate, Simonides walked into the Athenaeum journal and showed the 1843 Barnabas he had published, as evidence that Sinaiticus had drawn from his work. He also included a review Journal, called Star of the East.
