Benedict, Simonides and Mt. Athos Bible techies could handle Latin sources easily

Benedict could have, being an educator for 35 years and so many sent to northern Italy to school from Ayvalik.
In the West, Latin was the lingua franca of education because of 1,400 years of Roman Catholic domination.
Latin only dropped out in the mid-20th century.

Simonides also retroverted a page or more of Hermas from Latin, so clearly they were able to handle Latin materials.
