Did J D Burgon mention Simonides debate with Tischendorf?

Burgon, Simonides and Tischenndorf were all contemporaries. Surely Burgon knew about the debate over the age/authenticity of Sinaiticus, however I can't find any mention of Simonides by Burgon on the internet (I am reading Revision Revised, no mention). It would seem odd if Burgon was silent about it.

Does anyone have information on this?

I haven’t seen anything yet. Burgon had articles in an English journal that needs more research. I’ll try to check my bookmark notes shortly.

I’ve also wondered why Burgon simply accepted the Tischendorf facsimile edition without known comment.

Other than seeing Vaticanus in Rome, (have to check the year) I think his textual writing is limited till 1871, The Last Twelve Verses and the beginning of the decrepit Revision.. So 1861-65 he may have limited involvement.

Thank you so much.

I'm not versed in the Tischenndorf facsimile. My understanding is that is all anyone had, for instance Wescott & Hort and RV committee members.
So, since Sinaiticus has now been photographically reproduced, has Tischenndorf's facsimile proved to be inaccurate...also?

The Tischendorf facsimile refers to publications he made of the Sinaiticus (or the earlier Codex Friderico-Augustanus).

His facsimile was ok, overall.
