Did John D Burgon ever write about the Simonides debate with Tischenndorf?

Burgon, Simonides and Tischenndorf were contemporaries. Surely Burgon knew about the debate over the age/authenticity of Sinaiticus, however I can't find any mention of Simonides by Burgon on the internet (I am reading Revision Revised, no mention). It would seem odd if Burgon was silent about it.

Does anyone have information on this?

Hi Brian,

We discussed this in CARM, and there is some possibility that a bit of Burgon material can be found in the Guardian Newspaper Archives. However, we do not have a Simonides "hit" so far.
