The earliest evidence we have for the Bible in Latin seems to be a quotation from 1 Tim. 6: 15 f. in the Acts of the Scillitan Martyrs of A.D. 180 which echo several New Testament phrases. Tertullian used an already existing translation in some of his quotations. We may infer from this and other that the Bible was translated into Latin by the mid-second century [150 AD].
