To fix a WD My Passport drive not recognized in Windows 11,
try connecting to a different, direct USB port (preferably USB 3.0), replacing the cable, or updating drivers in Device Manager. Common solutions also include assigning a drive letter in Disk Management, checking for WD Security lock issues, or using a powered USB hub.
backup storage - western digital and maxtor
WD My Passport - 2 Terrabyte
Assigned Drive P - Windows 11 HP Omen - WORKS
WD My Book Essential - 1 Terrabyte
Maxtor One Touch - 320 GB - USB2
USB (easy to lose)
