If this is in Memnon, then it definitely is a timeline-chronology report from before the Sinaiticus controversies!

Eliminating yet another argument for Autographa Sinaiticus tampering.

Autographa
Here we are talking of a travel chronology that includes Sinai 1852
The idea has been that maybe that was to buttress the Sinaiticus narrative, a lot of effort for very little, but the Memnon information works against that theory anyway.

Memnon

It presents itself as an extract from the Archaeological Study Journey (Greek) written by Simonidis and abbreviated by an imaginary abridgist to whom Simonidis attributes the pompous name of Callinicus Hieromonaco. At the basis of everything is, almost certainly, that Reiseheschreihung (Travel Report) that Simonidis had sent in 1853 to his then friend Alexandras Lykurgos (who later became his implacable accuser), a theology student and Simonidis's companion in Leipzig during the eventful stay mentioned above (1855-56).412
