Tischendorf descriptions show awareness of CFA-CSP colour anomaly - pale parchment

In his 1846 publication on the CFA, Tischendorf did not use the word "white" as did Uspensky and Dobschuts for the CFA.

We have the review from Albert Lepsius available now (with the expectation of getting more from an NYU library visit later)

This next is the ink, we need pallida for the parchment, but this tends to be very poor writing

The parchment of the manuscript is, as the author ?. 1 of Prolog. noted extremely fine and delicate, and get the whole, probably, the Scripture here and there pale, and often on one side of the same sheet paler than on the other, which is explained by the different nature of the inner and outer surface of the skins.

In addition, note that even before describing the parchment, Tischendorf is comparing it to Vaticanus and Alexandrinus (as if that was the goal, rather than a conclusion). Vaticanus, however is yellow, and is not considered flexible and supple, well preserved.
