two gentlemen brought forth the yahweh and yahshua blunders

The two gentlemen lacked a Christian background, before coming to faith in the 1970s. And they were used to looking at questions in a secular, analytical manner. They both had left-wing backgrounds, and found the idea of radical doctrines attractive. As far as can be determined, they were instrumental in moving the fellership (which was small at the time) away from the simplicity of the Authorized Version's declaration of Jehovah, and toward the world of yahwehism. This was an effort that was sincere, yet totally misguided and false, and ultimately very dangerous.

Those with a more solid Christian background (Reformation, Baptist, etc) would have been far more likely to sense the spiritual problem of yahwehism. You can see that today on forums like Puritanboard. These two gentlemen really could not fathom the majesty and glory and excellence of the name of Jehovah. In a sense they rejected the truth simply because it was linked so closely to the strong existing, fundamentalist and Reformation churches. The two gentlemen drank the kool-aid of the liberals and secularists and passed it on to the fellership as quasi-private revelation. (e.g. Taking the historical unfolding name doctrine, not giving it proper attribution, and then totally misapplying it to the pagan yahweh, and to the counterfeit yahshua. )

And Blair Adams really should have fallen back on his earlier grounding and rejected this drift. Blair was still a strong Bible believer at this time, and could have easily said no to the whole yahweh mishegas. (The old time southern Pentecostals were relatively strong on this matter.)

Even in the 1970s, some literature was published as "The World of Yah". Note, though, that Yah, or Jah, is an acceptable Biblicism, the shortened or poetic version of the name. This is not the multi-syllable non-Hebraic abomination corruption of placing yah in the front of a theophoric name. The single syllable is a sound use of Jah, analogous to the termination of names like Elijah.

The initial errors occurred early, in the 1970s. Mostly yahwehism was limited at this time, although one of the two brothers would often include "thus saith Yahweh" in pseudo-prophetic utterances. (Later, the fellership grappled with this problem of false prophecies, however afawk they missed the root yahweh problem and instead placed the onus on the gentleman who delivered the false prophecies.) In the late 1980s and on, yahwehism was taken to a far greater level of involvement. The prayer rooms would repetitively ring ... "ohhhh yahwehhh..". And the decrepit yahshua was greatly elevated as well, even to the pollution of the apostolic water baptism.

Those two gentleman are accountable before God. Now that they are better informed, they could help Homestead Heritage immensely by leading the dump yahweh and yahshua movement that Homestead Heritage desperately needs. To date they have only drawn back (having a variety-pack of excuses) at least in external pronouncements.

Hebrews 10:38-39
Now the just shall live by faith:
but if any man draw back,
my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition;
but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

The question arises. How could men who really know (in their heart and gut and by the Holy Spirit, even if part of the intellect abstains) that yahweh is the pagan deity adversary of the God of Israel, of the Lord Jesus Christ, continue to enter prayer times, and prayer rooms, and song worship places, where this yahweh thing is being praised? You would have to be totally hardened and calloused, deceived and bound, to continue to pray unto the yahweh demon. The Holy Spirit is calling them to stop. So, to continue consciously and deliberately in this horrid practice means that those responsible have blood on their hands. Just as with Pilate (Matthew 27:34) their may have been sincerity up to a point, but the result was against the Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 27:24
When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing,
but that rather a tumult was made,
he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying,
I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

The day is late, but the time for the change is today.

Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,
when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

For Homestead Heritage, a big part of the needed converting and refreshing are the full dumping of yahweh, and yahshua, and the restoration unto elevation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Colossians 3:17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed,
do
all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

2005 ... 'yahweh' ... the Latin pagan usage ... a terrible recent error of German higher criticism

After I defended Homestead Heritage in the Factnet wars, one of these two gentlemen inquired as to my support of the name Jehovah and negative position on oy-vey. The idea was that Homestead Heritage would be considering this as worthy of research and investigation, perhaps leading to changes. (Remember, yahweh is deeply embedded in Homestead Heritage literature and praxis.)

The Factnet material is now gone from the net, but you can see an example my concern at this time on the Messianic Apologetic forum, placed in a moderator note.

[Messianic_Apologetic] pronounciation 'yahweh' and the linkage to pagan usage of jupiter

https://beta.groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Messianic_Apologetic/conversations/topics/10421

on that page they make a good case against 'yahweh' vis a vis the Latin pagan usage ... look at their stuff on that page about 'yahweh', which many of us view as a terrible recent error of German higher criticism and various scholarship unbelief, taking a pagan word and substituting it for the Tetragrammaton ==== YHVH ==== Yehovah/Yehowah ==== Jehovah,
The book by Gerard Gertoux is also referenced here. I sent my copy of the book to the gentleman at Homestead Heritage, to help them to come out of yahweh-bondage. Our discussions took a couple of turns,and focused largely on the pure Bible issues. There is some connection of the two issues, yet many who do not embrace the pure Bible are 100% sharp and true on the oy-vey abmonination.

No coherent position on the yahweh situation was ever stated by the Homestead Heritage writer (the same one who put the defense and apologetic and eisegesis around yahweh into their literature, where it remains today.)

=======

One irony is that Homestead Heritage will not have the integrity to accept that this is a fundamental Christian conviction on my end (even if they are still muddling around with the pagan name.) This is now over a decade. There was the experience of sprinting out of the song-fest when they worshiped oy-veh in song (the mangled version of 'Days of Elijah') in 2009. The correspondence itself lasted over a period of many years, 7 or 8 with a mid-lull. Deep efforts have been made to reach to the eldership and members of the Adams family. And I kept a public silence on these attempts for about 10 years, so they would have space and time to really accept the truth before God without any public buzz.

The responses of the elders have been almost humorous, although they do show the depth of yahweh-bondage at Homestead Heritage. However, the faux representations and dismissals to me are not the key issue, the key issue remains:

helping Homestead Heritage to be totally free of the paganism of yahweh-bondage, of worship unto a demon.
