When Stilpon died, his siblings from the same mother disputed the property he left in Alexandria (1873). So it seems that he indulged in trade. Stilpon died on 19.5.1866, while Simonides has been there since at least 14 Jan. 1866, signing as delegate for the elections to the Patriarchate. Constantine died of the same epidemic in 1867.

Yes, this proof is in the book, as published in the Patriarchate's catalog for the election of the Patriarch (p. 354).
The death of Simonides in 1867 is mentioned in a publication of the consulate of Greece in Cairo, because Simonides had Greek citizenship and the consulate was looking for his heirs (page 360).
Constantine's relations with Stilpon can be seen in the history of Lycurgus p. 92, 95. Lycurgos also says that Simonides hid the manuscripts he was selling in a trunk in Alexandria in his brother's house.
