These examples show that occasionally scholars have questioned the validity of the information provided in the colophons of Syh. More recently, even stronger voices have been uttered against the standard view that Syh be a very faithful copy of the Hexapla’s fifth column. In a recent article on this matter, T.M. Law listed conclusions reached by three modern scholars, who argued that the Syh version of Amos, Isaiah and Psalms not always agrees with the Hexaplaric recension of those books.16
