In Greek. This copy bears the ex libris of Joannes Gennadius and a handwritten dedication by Simonidis on the title page: Βασιλειάδῃ πρεσβυτέρῳ Κ. Σιμωνίδης φιλίαςκαὶ ἀγάπης μνείας ἔνεκα. τῇ 8/20 Ἰουνίου 1862. Here again, Simonidis features only as editor. The book brings together four theological treatises by Nicholas of Methone (12th century), Georgios Gennadios Scholarios (15th century), Gregory Palamas (14thcentury), and Georgios Coressios (17th century, reader of Greek at the University of Pisa and opponent of Galileo Galilei). Nicholas of Methone’s On the Holy Spirit also circulated separately (London 1858, see Gennadius’ note below). In addition Simonidis published letters by scholars and other texts concerning the Shepherd of Hermas, another of his favorite New Testament apocrypha
