The name of God the Father in the Hebrew is the Tetragram (Tetragrammaton) יהוה - יְהֹוָה
- JHVH or YHVH
- this is often represented in the pure Bible as the LORD.
In the Authorized Version (King James Bible), seven times the name is spelled out ..

(This is followed in the Reformation Bible tradition in many languages and editions, Geneva, Tyndale, the Spanish Reina-Valera with small spelling differences.)
The J and Y are equivalent
The V and W are equivalent, although V is more precise.
A counterfeit 2-syallable alternative name - Yahweh - became popular in liberal and unbeliever circle.
This is not really a Hebrew word, it just became popular because of faux scholastics, the German scholar Gesenius (1786-1842) was a major pusher for this form.
This form also became popular in the American know-nothing Sacred Name movement in the 1930s, and they added a new gibberish "name" for Jesus to match it up - "Yah-shua". You can see that in the pagan poster from Homestead placed at bottom.
Often this word "Yahweh" is used as simply a scholastic error, there is not actual worship and praise directed to the name.
There are various proofs that Jehovah is correct, the one that is the simplest is the fact that almost 20 Theophoric names in the Hebrew Bible begin with the very same Jeho- letters and vowels.

Additional proofs, along with the Theophoric names, that Jehovah is correct and Yahweh is a counterfeit come from:
1) 2,000 Hebrew Bible manuscripts
2) c. 20 Hebraic sources that evidence the vowels
3) Hebrew grammer (e.g. there are no Hebrew names with the vowels of Yahweh)
Plus the two-syllable form Yahweh is connected to paganism.
The simplest way to see this is:
Jupiter == Jove-Pater == Yahweh Father
The pronunciation of Jove is exceedingly close to Yahweh.
So it is a very bad idea to use "Yahweh" in any shape or form.
However, it is 1,000 times worse in the Homestead Heritage situation.
The people involved likely do not realize that they are actually calling on Jupiter ... but they ARE!
A good start to understanding who Jupiter is, simply read the verses in Acts that have the devil name.
All this has NOTHING to do with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Even if they give some lip service to Jesus as well, "Yahweh" (Jupiter) is the central figure.

There is no need to pray to Jehovah, it is a beautiful word, the Name is sonorous and wonderful, however JESUS is central for any Christian.
And any prayer to Yahweh is totally on the wrong side of the street.
Homestead Heritage is bound in iniquity in Yahweh-Jupiter worship!
