The LaParola apparatus is often very weak on ECW, early church writers.

inclusion/omission variants have a totally different dynamic than alternate texts. This is not understood properly in textual criticism theory and Byz/Maj theory. Thus the majority of these texts on this thread are inclusion/omission where the text dropped from the Greek manuscripts.

Hard errors include Luke 2:22, John 1:28, Acts 12:25. Two involve geography and the Vaticanus-Alex text has more geography hard errors. Total NT hard errors I count as around 25.

Some, like Acts 20:28 may be Byz in tie-breaker mode.

Very small variants can have very large import.

While conflations are rare (Hort made many bogus claims) this is clearly one that became the Byz text. However, it may not be a Byz majority, they may have gone into tie-breaker mode. If so, it is puzzling that they took the lightly-supported conflation variant.

These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan,
where John was baptizing.

Greek Byzantine has Bethany, a geographical error, and an early corruption, probably because the name Bethany was a well known spot, something similar happens with the Alex corruption of Gerasa for the swine marathon (Byz is ok on that)

Origen did some incredible research.
This can be considered a hard error in Byz and Alex.

The Robinson-Pierpont text omits the phrase υπο τον ουρανον "under heaven." There is no footnote about this even in the NA28. Is this a case of homoioteleuton, νον to νον? In Acts, I generally go against the Nestle-Aland text when all the 10th century minuscules are against it. But here, they, 33 181 1175 1611 1739 1891, are all with it, and against the Robinson-Pierpont text. The RP text does not even have the Harklean Syriac this time.

But there is neither salvation without the Father, nor eternal life without the Son.

For example, in Matt 3:16 the critical text twice contains a reading supported by the Byzantine tradition against the original hands of Aleph and B. The same condition happens again in 5:13; 7:14; 7:18; 8:9, 21; 9:14; 12:47; plus many more. In all such places, it is not appropriate to refer to the critical text as Alexandrian in the popular sense of the term, since those readings are Byzantine. If one wants to classify all readings of the Byzantine text as Byzantine (as many Majority Text advocates do), then one must classify the critical texts as almost 50% Byzantine. 68 (Blunder methodology)

68 As high as 62.6% for Philippians, 50.0% for Romans and 1 Timothy, and a mere 11% for 1 Thessalonians. The overall average is 41.5 %.
