Hello!

My name is Matthew and I was born and raised in Virginia! I have been saved now since March 5 2022 when I was born again by faith in Jesus Christ in the middle of my hallway at my house late at night. Praise the Lord for it!

Naturally, I didn't immediately know or understand the Bible version issue once I was saved. I didn't even realize there was a battle about not only the English version of the Bible, but also a battle over the underlying manuscripts and the inspiration behind them. Back in 2022, I only had a King James Bible that the one Christian I had in my life, my grandfather, had given me. After I got saved, I bought an NIV and an ESV, not really understanding the differences between these Bibles but only knowing that they seemed "simpler" and "easier to read". However, it was reading the writings of a Historicist author online who support the King James Bible that made me soon embrace the Majority Text and the Bibles of the Reformation era, and so I soon rejected modern versions like the NIV and ESV (though I still have them for research purposes).

Afterward, I began to buy other Bibles based on the Textus Receptus, such as the Geneva Bible and one called the ISR, named after the Institute For Scripture Research. I also got a bit into the sacred name movement in 2022 (even though I was obviously saved by the name of Jesus Christ). However, after further research about the King James Bible from a historical perspective, as well as watching and listening to videos and arguments from a wide variety of people of various beliefs (include the man who created this site), I soon came to the conclusion that the King James Bible is the perfect Bible in the English language. Of course, I still love and respect Bibles like the Geneva Bible, which I still have. But it was in 2023 when I solidly came to rest all my faith on the King James Bible to guide me as God's Word in my language.

I'm glad to be able to post this on this site, since it has influenced me greatly and informed me of so much of the historical background behind so many different issues over the past 2000 years concerning the text of the Bible and the great battle that has raged. It's pretty obvious the devil and his angels are involved deeply in this struggle, and the devil himself has been attacking God's word since the incident with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. So no surprise that there is so much anger, confusion, and strife over this issue today, perhaps more than there ever has been in all of recorded history. The devil and his forces are attacking more than ever, as they know their time is shorter than ever.

So I look forward to continuing to read this site! I don't know how much I will post. I've absorbed a lot of information, but I am a fledging when it comes to putting a lot of it together. But I appreciate being on here anyway, even if I remain mostly a reader of the site.

God bless all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Matthew H.

"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether."
Psalm 19:7-9

Matthew, I remember when the ISR "Scriptures" first came to the USA, and I was in touch with the gentleman who was the distributor. I discussed "Sacred Name" Bibles with people in Michigan, when they had a conference I attended.

This is one of the reasons that I have the background for some Tetragrammaton stuff.

There was also a "Daystar" Sabbath writing at the time!

Steven,

I did a lot of research on the ISR Scriptures before I purchased a few copies of it. I still have two copies of the ISR, and one of my family members has a copy as well. That said, that was two years ago and I've left trusting in the ISR in the dust, and thus most of that research has tumbled out of my mind. So while I don't remember much about every reason for translation itself, it would be enlightening to know the distributor's thoughts about it.

However, I did buy another book that I believe was from the ISR, "Come Out Of Her" I think it was called. It's on one of my bookshelves at home. I haven't read it since 2022, but I'm fairly certain there's plenty of arguments in that book that many words of the English language are corrupted by paganism and links to old demonic deities, and that's why the ISR decided to change so many words in their Scriptures version. Because they didn't like the words used in the King James, even words like "sanctify" and "holy" if I remember right. They used the phrase "set apart" a lot instead. I remember trying to read the Scriptures version and it felt like a total disjointed mess with zero spiritual power. It lacked all the poetry of the KJB I was used to.

Only other thing I'll add is that I really enjoyed the information the Tetragrammaton you have on this site. It's helped me a lot, even though I'm solidly in the Jehovah is 100% correct, wondeful, and pure camp anyway. It's nice to have legitimate arguments to back it up, other than that the KJB is pure itself so naturally Jehovah is correct by extension.
