John 17:5 and preexistence

John 17:5
“And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
I would say if you plan to use John 17:5 as the supposed “got’ya” verse against a Oneness doctrine, you should be informed as to how it is represented by Oneness adherents, rather than a caricature, or Joel’s terrible writing. One example would be David Bernard, who recently spoke at Homestead on the doctrine, his second visit.
(Rarely would I recommend his writings, but for this limited purpose he is ok, Robert Sabin’s might be hard to find, the question could use one dedicated thread. Daniel Segraves has a page, but I think Bernard may be better.)
