Literary Forgeries
by James Anson Farrer 1907 Page 60 Paragraph 1
https://books.google.com/books?id=Ei1KDcglxf8C&pg=PA62

“Simonides, who was always most precise in his information about real or feigned persons, declares that this Kallinikos was born in 1802, a Thessalian, named originally Kuriakos [Κυριακός]; on his admission to the Church he took the name of Kallinikos [Καλλινίκος], and for his bravery in the war of the Greek Revolution he received the surname of Keraunos [Κεραυνός]...”

I should imagine that this was just Simonides' way of making the guy untraceable, by giving him three different names.
"Kallinikos" means "beautiful victor, the gloriously triumphant" [source].
Absolutely untraceable and surely invented. Interestingly, this source calls the
"Αυτογράφα του Διδάκτορος και ιππότου Κωνσταντίνου Α. Φ. Σιμωνίδου" "his book", i.e. referring to Simonides.

The only reference to a Kuriakos of Thessalonica I can find is to an author, "Κυριακού Μελιρρύτου του Θεσσαλονικέως", or who wrote a chronology of Odessa published 1836, ("Ιωάννης Κυριακός Μελιρρύτου Θεσσαλονικεύς (1836). Χρονολογία ιστορική. Εν Οδησσώ: Εκ του Τυπογραφείου της Σχολής των αποίκων Ελλήνων εμπόρων." ==> "Ioannis Kyriakos Melirrytou Thessalonica (1836). Historical chronology. In Odessa: From the Printing Office of the School of Greek Merchant Colonists."
I can find no other reference to this person.

1852 - is this Odessa publishing?
Maybe not related to his name which is there once
Kyriakos

For a more complete biography of Πήγα, the following must also be used (γράφε το σπάνιο και λησμονημένο πιβλιο του Κυριακου Μελιρρύτου, Χρονολογία - wrote the rare and forgotten book of Kyriakos Melirrytos, Chronology) Historical, published in 1838.
