it is one of the india ink passages, but normally I look at the darker smudge out

the darker ones are in Jeremiah
the scholars do not want to discuss why there would be a smudge out in the early years, and ONLY on Sinaiticus

normally we go here for the super smudge in Jeremiah

I doubt if you ever run into that type of smudging before recent years

have only given a first look to the smudge, it is a correction or not by a later scribe as it is written in lower case letters

The smudge in Jer look like it starts with a hebrew ל.

would have to do a much more intense study to try to extract the letters of the smudges
