Epistle LXXII.[ 1970 ] To Jubaianus, Concerning the Baptism of Heretics. Argument .—Cyprian Refutes a Letter Enclosed to Him by Jubaianus, and with the Greatest Care Collects Whatever He Thinks Will Avail for the Defence of His Cause. Moreover, He Sends Jubaianus a Copy of the Letter to the Numidians and to Quintus, and Probably the Decrees of the Last Synod.[ 1971 ]
“If of the Holy Spirit; since the three are one, how can the Holy Spirit be at peace with him who is the enemy either of the Son or of the Father?”

The Treatises of Cyprian. Treatise I. On the Unity of the Church.[ 2118 ] Argument .—On the Occasion of the Schism of Novatian, to Keep Back from Him the Carthaginians, Who Already Were Not Averse to Him, on Account of Novatus and Some Other Presbyters of His Church, Who Had Originated the Whole Disturbance, Cyprian Wrote This Treatise. And First of All, Fortifying Them Against the Deceits of These, He Exhorts Them to Constancy, and Instructs Them that Heresies Exist Because Christ, the Head of the Church, is Not Looked To, that the Common Commission First Entrusted to Peter is Contemned, and the One Church and the One Episcopate are Deserted. Then He Proves, as Well by the Scriptures as by the Figures of the Old and New Testament, the Unity of the Church.[ 2119 ]
The Lord says, “I and the Father are one;” and again it is written of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, “And these three are one.” And does any one believe that this unity which thus comes from the divine strength and coheres in celestial sacraments, can be divided in the Church, and can be separated by the parting asunder of opposing wills? He who does not hold this unity does not hold God’s law, does not hold the faith of the Father and the Son, does not hold life and salvation.

Michael Burris I meant source for this:
"He did out right referring to John. There was an Ancient Greek text referred to by Jerome, which could have been the originals, but was destroyed by the Arians in about 380. The Arians had threatened to banish anyone who quoted the verse as a statement of belief, and had to destroy as a result all the mss that had the comma."

Ben Boru De Synodis Councils of Ariminum and Seleucia. By Athanasius, parts 1, 2 & 3. There is also another shocking statement by Sozomen that flies in the face of all this - regarding Ulfilas, and his translation to the Goths. It’s obvious that the Hort scholars of the past lied to us.
