Talkatone gives you free a phone number for voice and text, in and out. I use it on my iPad, (do not have an iPhone or Android phone).
Also you can load the Android emulator on your PC and then have quick keyboard, and cut-and-paste and stuff like that.
Overall contact structure is good. Easy to add.
While there are good alternates, I have never found one that gives you a permanent phone number, and is free, and gets text and voice in and out.
I really appreciate the text, since I use a flip-cell as my regular calls, and texting is a super-hassle. So I always switch to the Talkatone number.
