This is virtually a proof of the correctness of Jehovah and the flimsy falsity of oy-veh.

Scott Jones is working off of Christian David Ginsburg.

Here is a review by Bernhard Pick (1842-1917) that discusses Ginsburg and these name pairs.

Whether or not Ginsburg is correct in his redaction motivation theory for the short form on the right has no effect on the basics, that theophoric names begin with Yeho.. and never begin with Yah.. .

If I remember right, there is one or two similar charts, either from Gerard Gertoux or Carl Franklin.

When the question is asked of modern writers why they are inconsistent in this regard, it is impossible to get a straight answer.
An interesting case was the list of non-responses on Yahoo.

Why do English Bible translations remove "Jehovah" but keep the other "Jeho-" names built on "Jehovah"?

The glaring weakness in the article is in the mishandling of theophoric names, which has been understood as a foundational support of Jehovah/Yehovah for centuries, with two Hebrew letters and two vowels all agreeing:

JEHOachaz
JEHOash
JEHOzabad
JEHOhanan
JEHOaida
JEHOiachin
JEHOiakim
JEHOiarib
JEHOnadab
JEHOnathan
JEHOseph
JEHOzadak
JEHOram
JEHOshaphat
(list made years back by Scott Jones)

As for the attempt to use the -yah and -yahu suffix for theophoric names, that is only matching up with the poetic or abbreviated short form Yah, (Y…ah) not the theophoric consonants and vowels as we see in the names above.

Thanks!

It reads: "In fact, Indy would have been doomed anyway, since the name Jehovah did not appear until the 16th century."

I guess that's obvious, since it wasn't until the 16th century that printing began, I think. Can anyone imagine printing from 999year? Since there is a name with full vowels from a Hebrew manuscript? Also ridiculous is the claim of people against this name.
